Taiwan Merger & Acquisition and Private Equity Council (MAPECT) has been actively
promoting the positive perception of M&A activities in Taiwan since its foundation in 2009.
With the mission to develop a more welcoming investment environment in Taiwan, MAPECT
takes the initiative to organize the “2011 MAPECT Taiwan M&A Awards” event in honor of
the M&A deals beneficial to upgrade the enterprises’ competitiveness.
The “2011 MAPECT Taiwan M&A Awards” is primarily to aim at stimulating M&A activities
and greatly expected to build up a set of professional standards in evaluating the essence of
M&A deals in Taiwan. In a long‐term and strict evaluating process, 11 remarkable deals are
ultimately selected as the Award Winners by our Executive Committee comprising
professionals from different sectors in Taiwan.
For further promoting the event to public, MAPECT will host the「2011 MAPECT Taiwan M&A
Awards」Awarding Ceremony and Case Symposium on October 24, 2011 to honor the Award
Winners and to gather the cross‐border M&A professionals to share their practical
experiences. Moreover, the officials from Executive Yuan, Minister of Economic Affairs
(MOEA) and Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF) will be invited as the
distinguished guests as well as awarding presenters. We sincerely welcome you to attend the
ceremony and the dinner banquet which offers a unique opportunity to network with
MAPECT members, honorees, panel speakers and Evaluating Committee members.
In the meantime, MAPECT would like to arrange a formal visit for all our members, especially
for the foreign PE members, with Minister Christine Liu of Council for Economic Planning and
Development, (CEPD) and or President Chi Schive of Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSE)
to express all our interest on investing in Taiwan as well as the expecting for the improving on
the existing investment regulations in the morning of October 24. Your highly support and
join will be favor this visit, we are sincerely welcome your participation.
